Think about this for a minute. What would your life look like if you looked after yourself more? What if you were happy with who you were and satisfied with what you have?
Also think, what if you kept friends who loved you close and gave yourself a break? How much better would your life be if you told yourself you were doing great?
Let's work on that this week. These next 6 days won't turn your life around completely but it's a great start 🙂

Happiness Challenge Day 1 -Take a rest. Are you getting enough quality sleep?
❌Sleeping poorly will cause your mental health and your mood to deteriorate.
❌In the short term, poor sleep will leave you with low energy and will increase stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol.
❌You’ll be wired, anxious, and fraught.
💕The solution is to sleep longer and to sleep better.
🤩Here are some key tips to consider:
• Get at least 8 hours every night - this is non-negotiable!
• Make it a habit to go to bed at the same time each night. Predictability is what your body craves.
• Find out your own ‘chronotype’ by experimenting. What times work best for you to sleep and wake up?
• Take a hot shower or bath before bed
• No technology 1 hour before sleep. Read a book and try to stay calm. This is ‘winding down’ time.
Which one are you trying next?
Happiness Challenge Day 2 - Treat yourself
Are you a super busy lady? It's okay, as long as you get to have a moment to relax and rejuvenate yourself so you can start each day fresh.
💕Today take a few minutes to treat yourself.
Now, what can we do to treat ourselves and relax our bodies and minds?
🛀Soaking in a bath is very effective - at least for me! You might say you have no time for a bath, but you just gotta ~make the time~.
🥰Take at least 30-Minutes for yourself, trust me you'll be glad you did.
😍Don't you think you are at least worth 30-Minutes every day??
What are you doing today to treat yourself?
Happiness Challenge Day 3 - Take a walk or get a quick workout in
Exercising is one great way to improve your self-esteem. Working out will also increase your mood.
Your body releases the feel-good hormone serotonin when you work out. Working out is a truly life-affirming activity that can help you to grow both mentally and literally physically.
Happiness Challenge Day 4 - Call a friend
Friendship is a wonderful thing and is vitally important for personal growth, success, and happiness.
A friend is someone who is willing to stick by you through thick and thin, who will be there when you need them and will show you the understanding that you in turn give back.
A friend you can depend on is one you will probably have for life.
When you call a friend and hear their voice it does something to you. It's not the same as texting or messaging.
So, pick up the phone and call that special someone 🙂 I can guarantee this will make their day as well.
So, who are you gonna call??

Happiness Challenge Day 5 - Express Gratitude
Consider cultivating a gratitude attitude.
Focus on the things you have, and the things you are happy with.
This will help bring you into the present and makes you more positive.
It also helps you to feel better about all of the amazing things that you have already accomplished.
It’s a perfect way to combat feelings of regret!
In your journal, you should also write down 3 things that you are grateful for at the end of every day.
This will bring focus on how much is good in your life and you'll also reflect on how much has gone right.
What 3 things can you come up with right now that you are grateful for?
Happiness Challenge Day 6 - Practice Self-love
🥰Life would be that much easier if you loved yourself. Too many people live with low self-esteem. And many people just simply don't care about themselves.
💕How can you practice self-love?
You can be patient with yourself. Redirect negative thoughts that pop up and flip them to something positive.
👉For example, instead of, "I'm so dumb, I burnt the pasta." flip it to, "I just made a mistake. It's ok. I was distracted. I just have to clean this up, try again and pay attention this time."
💕What helped me initially was pretend my thoughts were directed toward my 7-year old self. Would I berate and yell at little me? No, I would not. I would be patient, kind, and loving.
Over time and with some practice, I learned to treat myself better without having to stop and think about it.😍
👉You got this! You just need practice 😉
I hope these 6 days have helped you start your journey into self-love and happiness. 💕
