In our household, there’s a simple yet profound saying that we live by: “Too much of anything is still too much.” Now, you might be wondering, can one really have too much celery? After all, it’s the epitome of healthiness, isn’t it? Well, here’s the catch – even if you munch on celery all day, every day, it might not be the healthiest choice.

Why, you ask? Well, it’s all about balance vs overindulgence. While celery is undoubtedly a nutritious vegetable, exclusively indulging in it means you’re missing out on essential nutrients like proteins, fats, and carbs. Moreover, consuming excessive amounts of any food, no matter how healthy, can lead to toxicity.

And let’s not forget about calories – your body needs them to function properly. So, the key is to strike a balance. Make sure you’re getting an adequate supply of calories, along with the essential macronutrients.
Feel like having a slice of cake? Go for it. Craving a protein smoothie, some popcorn, and a kale salad? Why not! The problem arises when you fall into overindulgence without considering balance and moderation.
What about Healthy Snacks?
A crucial point to note is that not everything labeled as “healthy” is necessarily so. Many products are marketed as healthy for sales purposes. So, that low-fat, low-carb, high-protein “healthy” chocolate cookie might not be as healthy for you as it seems.
I’ve learned this lesson the hard way, especially with my fondness for cheese and dairy. Even opting for non-fat alternatives didn’t save me from the consequences – ouch!
