Do you aim to maintain your workout routine, make healthier food choices, or prioritize self-care? Defining your goals will give you a sense of purpose and direction. I like to make a "holiday routine" which helps me feel like I am still in control of my habits and time management.  It can be as simple as "eat", "move", and "sleep".

2. Prioritize Self-Care

The holidays can be a hectic time, but that doesn't mean you should neglect self-care. Make time for activities that rejuvenate you, whether it's meditation, reading, a long bath, or a nature walk. Taking care of your mental and emotional well-being is just as important as physical health.

3. Create a Realistic Schedule

One of the most common reasons for abandoning healthy habits during the holidays is a lack of time. To combat this, create a realistic schedule that incorporates your usual routines and allows room for holiday festivities. This way, you can continue your workouts and maintain your meal plan without feeling overwhelmed.

4. Be Mindful of Your Food Choices

Holiday feasts are a highlight of the season, and indulging is part of the fun. However, you can make mindful food choices that align with your health goals. Opt for smaller portions, savor each bite, and balance indulgent treats with nutrient-rich foods.  You can also find new and healthier recipes to try for your holiday dinners.

It's easy to let your fitness routine slip during the holidays, but staying active is essential. Whether it's a quick home workout, a walk with family, or a dance party in the living room, find ways to keep moving. Physical activity not only supports your health but also reduces stress.

6. Find Accountability Partners

Share your holiday health goals with a friend, family member, or coworker who has similar intentions. Having an accountability partner can motivate you both to stick with your routines and offer support when temptations arise.
